Our Story

Our motto is simple: Need a Toy? Take a Toy. Have a Toy? Leave a Toy.

Moses, my Cane Corso Mastiff, and I spent time in our neighborhood almost everyday for 12 years. When he was young and active, we ran. As he slowed down in life, we walked. When he couldn't walk anymore, we carted in his green wagon. The community we developed over the years was the driving force behind Moses' Toy Box.

When he passed away at almost 15, I was devastated, grieving, and unable to part ways with his favorite things. I wanted a way to preserve his legacy and give something back to the community that gave us so many great memories. Building the toy box was my way, not only, to share Moses' impact on my life, but also to share and re-home his favorite things, giving them a new life.

I had no idea of the positive impact that this little project would have on others. There was an overwhelming support from close friends and total strangers alike. Being supported by a community, not only helped me through the grieving process, but it also gave me a new purpose: to provide resources that bring together pet friendly communities and help others heal after the loss of a beloved pet.
